2000 ANOTHER SOLO SHOW IN MILAN

Giorgio Zanchetti curated the exhibition Piero Manzoni. Consumazione dell’arte / dinamica del pubblico / divorare l’arte at the Museo della Permanente.

The exhibition was part of the exhibition project curated by Antonello Negri which involved a series of eight small exhibitions each accompanied by an interpretative essay regarding single works owned by the Civic Art Collections of Milan, exhibited in the Permanente’s spaces. Manzoni was represented by a “reading” of his Uovo Scultura n. 34, taking in the first exhibitions in which the eggs appeared, from the Galerie Arthur Køpcke in Copenhagen (June 1960) to the event at the Azimut gallery Consumazione dell’arte / dinamica del pubblico / divorare l’arte (July 1960), which generated the title of the exhibition, with the public invited to consume the sculptures on display. A small catalogue was realized for each exhibition, the eight catalogues were gathered in a single volume created at the end of the project.
