1994 GROUP SHOW IN THE UNITED STATES, ITALY AND GERMANY
Piero Manzoni was one of the artists featured in the exhibition at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, The Italian Metamorphosis, 1943-1968.
The exhibition was curated by Germano Celant and later presented at the Triennale in Milan and the Kunstmuseum in Wolfsburg. The substantial catalogue of 740 pages featured, among others, essays by Marcia E. Vetrocq, Italo Zannier, Vittorio Gregotti, Umberto Eco, Maurizio Fagiolo Dell’Arco, Jennifer Blessing, Dennis Doordan and Giorgio Galli. On the day of the opening the New York Times published a review by Michael Kimmelman entitled “From Postwar Italy, With Style”.
