THE STORY OF THE FOUNDATION

2024 PUBLICATIONS

Some years after the last book in the Pesci Rossi collection dedicated to the Milanese artist, Blow-up. Piero Manzoni e l’esplosione dei nuovi media by Giuliano Sergio was published — an interesting analysis of Manzoni’s early use of media as a means of constructing an authorial image that was innovative compared to artists of the past.
In 1959 the artist produced a small print run of Achromes on velvet paper for the artist’s book La lune en rodage I, an impressive but little-known editorial project by Carl Laszlo’s Panderma editions, in which important artists of the time participated with unique works or limited editions. In 2024 the Foundation reproduced the photograph of these Achromes for “the art box magazine” BAU, also adding a text by Irene Stucchi on La lune en rodage I.
Paolo Bacilieri’s graphic novel BACGLSP was presented on several occasions throughout the year: at the Museo del Novecento in Milan, at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, and at Rovereto & Comics. The French edition, published by Sarbacane Editions, also appeared, and the author won the Premio Emilio Lussu at the eponymous festival in Cagliari.
