2025 PIERO MANZONI MET THE METAVERSE

The Labyrinth by Piero Manzoni consists of an immersive virtual reality environment curated by Marco Senaldi, in collaboration with Valerio Borgonuovo, and technically realised together with the Scena Urbana team. The environment is part of the platform ‘Today is not Today’, a collection of previously unseen artworks in interactive multilingual virtual and mixed reality environments, with the support of InnovaCultura - Regione Lombardia.
The entire project was previewed in May at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Paris during the event Piero Manzoni and his Foundation: projects in the future, the present and the past, alongside Maria Calderara’s fashion collections and the screening of the film Piero Manzoni, Artist by Andrea Bettinetti.
The official press presentation took place in June at the Museo del Novecento in Milan, where alongside The Labyrinth by Piero Manzoni another VR work from the ‘Today is not Today’ collection was introduced: The Temple. The Birth of Eidos by Vincenzo Agnetti and Paolo Scheggi.
